Originally recorded by Bread in 1972. David Gates led those boys to some mighty big hits, often derided by rockists at the time as being sappy.

But this tune really got me - a romanticized view of life as a rock star/rock fan, sure, but what cool sonic structures! And what if that guitar man was playing loud and loose?
