"Derelict" is perhaps the most self-lacerating tune ever written by The Kevins.

Musically inspired by "Stay Free" by The Clash, this rattling, shambolic punk-blues finds its protagonist in a potentially rare reflective moment. Is it true, has he disappointed everyone in his circle? And if he thinks he's the only victim of his selfish ways - well, that's a wrong assumption. What that all this narcissism cost him?

Or maybe the narrator is just insecure, and being told he's a bad person to further someone else's goals? In either case, the questions go far deeper philosophically than most tunes recorded by The Kevins.
