The spare, acoustic-based instrumentals felt like soundtracks. Off went the musical sketches in search of moving picture partners from public domain archives.

A line cast into the ocean of 1950s and 1960s industrial, advertising, and propaganda films (plus the occasional oddball commercial piece) hooked a uniquely spirited set of short movies ripe for new musical settings. Swipe left, swipe left, swipe right...soon all the tunes had a partner.

Like watching tv with the radio on, as the band once sang.
